Add a post for a complete pattern
Add a post for pattern pieces
Looking for a special pattern? Every month we get emails from folks who are looking for a particular vintage sewing pattern, but haven't been able to find it anywhere. Now you can add your request to the Post area and let other Pattern Rescue visitors help you track it down.
This service is absolutely free - just fill out the form below and keep your fingers crossed. With any luck someone else will spot the pattern for sale somewhere and let us know the link. We'll email the link to you (to give you a head start) and update your post with the link the following day (for all you lurkers).

Posting Guidelines Make sure your request gets added -- and get the best results -- by following our simple guidelines and tips:
You must be a registered user to post. Register now We won't pass on your email address to anyone, but we have to be able to get in touch with you.
Give us as much information as you can, and if you're not sure, take your best guess. Keep in mind that pattern numbers were reused many times and pattern sizing schemes changed.
It's easier to find something with a photo. But if you send a photo, please make sure you that you have the right to share it with us.
Use this form only when you're looking for a complete or nearly complete pattern to buy. If you need free replacement pattern pieces, follow the link above.
Post for as many different patterns as you like, but submit a separate form for each pattern. And yes, you can post for embroidery transfers and other needlework patterns.
Most posts will remain up for four months. At the end of four months, we'll ask if you want to renew your request.
Ok - ready to give it a try?

Can I post this?
We're pretty flexible, but some post requests may end up in the reject pile.
Requests for photocopies of vintage sewing patterns are permitted only when we can determine that the pattern's copyright has expired. That's not always possible, especially if you don't have a photo of the pattern. As a general rule of thumb, the pattern must have been printed before 1964 and with no licensed characters (Disney, Raggedy Ann, etc.).
Generic requests, like "Any 1950s Vogue Couturier pattern" are a no-no. But if you're looking for a very particular style and just don't know if a pattern exists -- like "the afternoon dress Vivian Leigh wore in Gone With the Wind" -- then post away.
Artificial requests (posting just to provide a link to a pattern you have for sale, or to a site you especially like) will get you a slap on the wrist and eventually banned from the site.
