We have reluctantly concluded that it really is necessary for you to register your email address in order to use Pattern Rescue services.

Spam-fighting efforts are all well and good, but some legitimate emails get bounced, too. More than half of the people who write to us never respond to our replies. No doubt some of them just got busy or don't have anything else to say, but it's a safe bet that some never got our reply.

Registering your email address establishes that you can receive emails from us. (It also helps us get in touch if you mistype your email address on one of our forms -- which happens more often that you might think.) Once we've got two-way communication, we can get down to the important stuff -- patterns!

Although we personally dislike sites that make you register, we couldn't see how to keep the new services running smoothly any other way. Thanks for cooperating.
