  Collectible vintage sewing patterns -- and exceptional modern patterns -- get donated, too. Here's where you can redeem the Pattern Points earned for your donations (of pin money, needed pieces, or unwanted patterns) for a special sewing pattern or two you'll treasure for years to come. Read How It Works below, then use the page links above to see what's available today.

  Special Collection showcases a variety of sewing patterns on its own pages. Each Special Collection has unique terms, explained on the main page -- and you'll find the links to the Special Collection pattern pages there, too.

Members who've earned Pattern Points (and are up-to-date on Pin Money fund donations) can trade them in for collectible vintage sewing patterns listed in this area. Each Trade pattern is assigned a Pattern Points value from 5 to 50 and those points are deducted from your balance when the trade is made.

Copy and paste the entire pattern ID number into the middle column of our Request Form -- in the order you want them. (It's not necessary to include the number of pattern points.) You may request as many as you like and have points for.

Daily limits apply to all requests -- so a handful of people don't wipe out the entire supply. The daily limit for Trade patterns is 5. If you request 30 patterns, we'll allocate 5 patterns to you the first day, then another 5 the second day, and so on until we've finished your request -- or you run out of pattern points.

The Trade program is void if and where prohibited by law. The request processing procedures and shipping times are the same as the Recycle area.

If you're short on Pattern Points, you're welcome to make a donation to the Pin Money fund to earn more. HOWEVER....

Having enough Pattern Points on hand does NOT guarantee that you'll be able to get the pattern(s) you want right now. It may be gone already, or someone with higher priority may have requested it too.

Make your donation because you believe in preserving and restoring vintage sewing patterns, or because you want access to the Trade patterns and are comfortable that one or two you want will come along eventually -- even if you don't get the one you'd like right now. Please do not confuse making a donation with buying a pattern.
